You've Got Mail!
What's happening - when and where?
Join us for our Fall Boodle on Saturday, March 25, at Mission BBQ in Oviedo (968 W. Mitchell Hammock Road.)
How does it work?
Come with 50 fillers of your cadet's favorite snacks and treats (nonperishable) to fill boxes and ship to our cadets. It's a fun time of filling boxes and meeting other WP parents.
Background:
Each season, the West Point Parents Club of Central Florida gathers together at an enterprising Cadet's home to stuff boxes full of boodle to send off to our Black Knights just to let them know we are thinking about them and missing our soldiers. We are not sure who gets the bigger pick-me-up from this process. The Cadets? Or, the parents? But, one thing we do know for certain, our Cadets watch for mail very closely around this time of year!
The Boodle Bash, as we call it, is full of great camaraderie and good cheer. Empty boxes rapidly fill to the brim as each family brings a goody of choice to share with our young men and women serving America at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The backyard fun here is warm and inviting while the Hudson Valley's weather in New York is typically turning brisk and windy as Autumn settles in at the Academy.
If you have an interest in joining us, please let us know. We will be happy to share stories about life as a West Point Cadet and parent.
